Kaia Alexander and EBS entered my life at a time when I knew next to nothing about the entertainment industry. Now I can confidently and competently enter into any room and sell myself, and my brand, negotiate a fair deal, and maintain great relationships. I’m more than fully equipped to take this industry by storm and it’s all thanks to Kaia. She is the Obi-Wan to my Luke Skywalker. What’s better, she’ll be here at every step I take. What Our Students Are Saying About EBS

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Kaia and the Entertainment Business School.

I’d always been interested in stepping into the business side of the entertainment business, and put myself out there more, but fear always held me back. When I heard of EBS, I knew that it was the push I needed to finally put myself out there. I signed up for EBS immediately, and have no regrets whatsoever. I’ve learned SO much in the past 12 weeks, things that surprised, shocked and sometimes, downright scared me. Kaia is a compassionate teacher, who instructs by using kindness and empathy, as opposed to fear. I loved how she pulled from personal-professional anecdotes to make the lessons come alive. Her weekly personalized hot-seat sessions were the BEST. They provide you with a 20 minute, intense coaching session that will have you walk away with a fresh perspective and list of actions to further your career. Apart from all of this, I am also grateful for the #WolfPack I’ve found through EBS – a multi-faceted, talented group of women (and a man) whose passion and drive inspires me. PLEASE sign up for EBS. You will NOT regret it.

Lean into the wave to get your balance. Don’t take advice from someone who doesn’t have the results you want. Charming and honest are different lanes. There are no negative feelings, only unmet needs. Be curious before you’re furious. You don’t have a relationship with someone until you’ve laughed together. I have valued my time in Kaia’s course and recommend it without hesitation.

her session on Negotiations, I negotiated and doubled (!) a commercial contract with confidence and ease. And, as a result of her Branding session, I’d updated my online presence (Website, IMDb, LinkedIn and IG), which happened to be just in time for Disney execs to review them… which didn’t hurt, as I soon became a Disney Writers Program Finalist! I‘d started the class a bit discouraged from recent industry experiences but I left the program with a renewed sense of fire (ie vigor, vision + determination). Highly recommend 🙂

knowledgeable, accessible and genuinely cares about helping her students succeed. She counters the scarcity mindset by empowering us with insights—both about ourselves and this wild work. Over the course of this class, you will have many opportunities to gain tools specific to where you’re at in your career, and to connect authentically with classmates (all talented creatives!) This class was full of clear and relevant information. I’m grateful for all I’ve gained here and will miss our weekly discussions.

entertainment industry. These questions have plagued me for years: How the hell do I make it as a writer/director, what do I need to do, how do I get to LA, what project should I work on next, why am I not moving up, what secrets do I not know? What I’ve since learnt is that you need to know about strategy, branding, pitching, networking, how the industry works behind those closed doors, and you need to prepare for success and longevity. Kaia offers a deep dive into all of this, from her perspective as a previous Hollywood exec (and a writer), with lots of Q&A, in depth time and access to a community and network that I feel has vastly improved my trajectory. She gives you the no-BS straight facts, which is what I wanted, but also genuinely cares about you and your work. I’d suggest that everyone who needs to level up to join.

When I discovered Kaia Alexander and the Entertainment Business School, I was a mostly isolated genre writer who,

albeit passionate, did not feel ready for the industry at all. I had my scripts, I had my ideas, but I had no clue how to pitch them, how to connect with other creatives, nor did I feel all that confident about my value as a writer. However, I knew that EBS would be the game changer for me. I wanted to make 2023 my year, I wanted to break in, and I wanted to start leaving my mark and Kaia was very open about her knowledge and ability to take ALL writers to the next level. So, I signed up.
And it was the best decision I could’ve made for my career. In those eight weeks, not only did I learn so much about the industry, but I personally developed myself as a writer. We developed my personal brand statement, reviewed loglines, developed different pitches, studied option agreements, spoke to NUMEROUS industry veterans, and I got to do this all with a personal group that’s gone on to become my wolfpack. By the time I stepped into the Austin Film Festival for the first time, I had a pocket full of stand-out business cards with my unique memorable brand as well as a multitude of pitches ready to go. It’s actually thanks to one of my pitches that I built with Kaia that I won the AFF Workshop of Horrors Pitch Competition with my horror pilot BAD VS EVIL. This same pitch and script would go on to catch the attention of my current manager!
I really truly believe that EBS covers the gap between amateur writer and professional. It gives you the tools to market yourself, book WORK for yourself, and gain value as a writer. I’ve made a number of friends, industry connections, and genuine career achievements with the tools I learned in EBS. It’s affordable, it’s accessible, and there’s even recordings to scrub through if you can’t be there yourself. I wouldn’t recommend this program if I didn’t believe it could help everyone, the big guys and the little guys. Invest in yourself today with Kaia Alexander’s EBS, reap the rewards tomorrow, and the next, and the next!
If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them. – Henry David Thoreau

HOW IT WORKS:
The Entertainment Business School is a 12-month immersive experience, modeled like a top-tier graduate program — but with one crucial difference: you get direct access to a real Hollywood buyer, every single week.
We run on a 3-semester structure:
- 🎓 Semester 1: Sept–Nov
- 🎓 Semester 2: Jan–Mar
- 🎓 Semester 3: May–July
- 🌱 Integration Break Months: Dec, Apr, Aug (catch-up, apply, and reflect)
That means you’re getting >9 full months of live classes with Kaia — a former development executive who’s sold screenplays, pitched to every major buyer in town, and consulted with CEOs, Oscar winners, and A-list creatives.
✨ Most similar programs charge $2,500 for just 6 weeks. Kaia’s private consulting runs $25,000+ per day. Here? You get weekly live access — for a fraction of that.
📅Your Monthly Rhythm
Each active semester month includes up to 6 live sessions with Kaia and the worldwide wolfpack:
- 🧠 Workshop Spotlight – Group coaching (2–3 students coached live)
- 💬 Theme Talk + AMA – Deep dive on that month’s course module
- ⚡ Reel Action Lab – Hands-on implementation (loglines, bios, decks)
- 🌍 Global Mixer – Casual connection with peers (rotating time zones)
- 🐺 Wolfpack Den – Peer-led accountability, hosted by our Ambassadors
📺 All teaching sessions are held live on Zoom at 10AM PT, with replays in the Vault. (Mixers and Wolfpack Den accountability sessions are not recorded to preserve authenticity.)

EBS Core Syllabus:

Orientation
It all starts here. Discover Kaia’s insider strategy to finally find your wolfpack and make your movie — with a full overview of the program, and how to get the most out of your time at EBS.

Entertainment Business Landscape
The global landscape of film/TV is changing rapidly. Kaia examines the current state of the business. What are your most valuable career advantages, how do you cultivate them, and position yourself to win at showbusiness? Do you need a production company? When? How do you protect your ideas.? How does money flow through the film/TV industry? Who should be in your Wolfpack™? What are the studios and streamers? What are the real roles of agents, managers, attorneys, publicists, and producers — and how do you find the right ones for you?

Vision, Strategy & Mindset
There are many paths to making movies, but one unique path for you. Build your personal career map and learn the champion mindset of power and clarity. Real tools to help your mindset, address imposter syndrome, and be proactive about your mental health. We’ll bust through your blocks and upgrade your confidence, and get you on the path to making you movie, from the congruence of your deepest calling.

Branding
Your identity is undeniable, and the more you center it, the more you work. As you craft your brand from your core, you work more, and your talent is easier to recognize and back. From Shonda Rhimes to Judd Apatow, Issa Rae to Oprah, iconic creatives are also brilliant brands. In this course, you’ll craft your brand statement, and develop a visibility strategy that attracts your audience, reps, and ideal collaborators. Includes case studies and positioning exercises.

Find Your Wolfpack™
Networking is working — and when you approach it from connection and collaboration, it’s fun and empowering. Learn how to write a standout bio, talk to anyone, send irresistible messages, and share your story with authenticity. You’ll also take fun personality tests, learn how to identify red flags from potential partners, and build lasting, reciprocal industry relationships. Your wolfpack!

Stealth Pitch™
Students from EBS continue to use the Stealth Pitch technique to sell their TV shows, attach producers, and secure financing. It’s one of our signature, never-fail strategies. Effective and easy to remember, Kaia’s trademark pitch technique gives you a competitive edge — whether you’ve got 60 seconds strolling through your hotel lobby at Cannes, or a full hour pitching execs at a studio. Crafted from her experience financing major motion pictures as a Hollywood buyer, but translated for creatives like you, this original tradecraft method helps you connect, inspire, and always have a clear next step.

Build Your Audience
If you want bigger deals, start with a bigger audience. You’ll learn how to create and grow a platform — including your website, social media presence, email list — to both connect with and support your fans, and appeal to buyers and execs.

Financing
How do you find investors? Talk to investors? What closes financing? What is soft money and how to you get access to it? When is it safe to share your idea? You’ll learn fundraising fundamentals, film incentives foundation, and what goes into a proper film budget — from above/below the line to insurance and deliverables. Distribution is key, what should you look for?

Negotiation
Creatives often undercharge, work for free, or leave the room with a bad deal. And execs know it. They know they have the upper hand. No more. You’ll learn how to negotiate your value, anchor conversations, and protect your interests. Know when to say “no,” how to walk away, and how to get paid what you’re worth — without burning bridges.

Deal Flow
This is how to build your legacy, how money really moves through the global film/TV industry. What’s a step deal? When do you get paid? Who gets a “back end”? What do credits mean — and who decides? This is not legal advice, but an education on the most common agreements you may encounter. We cover common contract elements, MOUs, option & shopping agreements, and your IMDB. Go from unknown to unforgettable- you too, will be in demand with deal flow.
BONUS MODULES

Reputation Management
Your reputation is currency. Learn how to grow it from scratch, protect it, and recover from nightmare setbacks. You’ll understand what publicists and crisis PR teams actually do — and how to make decisions now that support your long-term career success.

Conflict Resolution
This isn’t woo — it’s essential for de-escalating situations you will encounter in every production, especially for above the line: producers, showrunners, directors. You’ll learn how to navigate conflict under pressure, resolve issues with clarity, and stay in integrity during tough conversations. Includes emotional intelligence tools, language strategies, and real stories from inside the industry.

I.P., Adaptations & Publishing
Whether you’re adapting a novel or pitching your own book, this module covers agents, proposals, shopping agreements, and more. You’ll learn how to acquire, option, and position I.P. for producers — and how to control your own narrative across multiple platforms.

🟨 VALUE COMPARISON #1: Private Coaching vs. EBS
You could hire me privately for $25,000/day + 2% of capital raised (yes, that’s my real rate — I’m hired by venture-backed founders and celebrities). Or you can spend a year with me in EBS, with monthly live access, a proven curriculum, and a global community — for less than one red carpet dress or a week in Cannes…
You could build a career that actually gets you invited.
✅ $25K/day private rate
✅ $100K buyout option for corporate clients
✅ $2,500 for just 6 weeks of training from other industry programs that offer no wolfpack community
→ You get 100+ hours of training, 9 months of live sessions, and full access to my insider strategy — for a fraction of the cost.
EBS tuition: $199/month
🎓Film School vs. EBS
Film school tuition: $60,000–$120,000+
And still? Most grads never learn the business side. They come out with a short film and a mountain of debt — no sales skills, no deal flow, and no financial independence.
EBS gives you what film school doesn’t:
- Industry strategy taught by a former Hollywood buyer
- Insider knowledge about pitching, dealmaking, and negotiation
- A real-world wolfpack to collaborate with — on your next film, short, or proof of concept
💡 EBS Tuition: $199/month
And no student loans. No gatekeeping. No hype. Just tools that work.
💸Your Return on Investment
Even just one of these outcomes in your career could pay for the entire program.
What You Gain | Real-World Value |
Land your first paid job in film/TV | $5,000–$20,000+ |
Option or sell a script | $10,000–$100,000+ |
Attach a director or cast | $10,000+ value in traction + financing |
Secure an investor or grant | $15,000–$250,000 |
Build a monetizable audience or brand | $25,000–$100,000 lifetime revenue |
Pitch that lands a meeting with a buyer or rep | Potentially career-changing |
Get introduced to an IP holder | Value of owning I.P.? Priceless |
Find your dream collaborators (your Wolfpack!) | Creative sustainability + shared production |
Avoid one major legal or reputational mistake | $25,000+ in loss prevention |
🎯 EBS Pays for Itself If You:
- Get paid for just onescript, short, or production
- Land a rep who gets you staffed or sold
- Raise your first round of funding or grant
- Make the rightindustry connection (one guest invited a student to Oscar parties!)
- Avoid just onecareer-derailing mistake most creatives make
Your investment:

Amanda Smith
Writer & Producer
I’ve invested a lot of time and money into growing my career and by far, the Entertainment Business School has been the most beneficial. Kaia’s course goes beyond ‘teaching’ – it’s transformative. For anyone looking to demystify this business, then this is the program for you. And for those creatives who break out in hives at the mere thought of contracts, negotiating, financing, you name it, this program is essential. It gives you the language, the tools and most importantly, the power to take control of your career.
💬Frequently Asked Questions
(Aka: Everything your brain is wondering right now.)
Who is this program actually for?
EBS is for writers, directors, producers, and creative rebels who are done waiting to be picked. If you’re trained and talented but still stuck — this is your shortcut to going pro. You don’t need reps, credits, or permission. You do need commitment. That’s who we’re here for.
What if I’m already in the industry?
You’re in great company. Many of our students are already repped, staffed, or producing. EBS gives you the strategic edge most creatives never get: deal-making, brand positioning, packaging, and greenlight strategy. This is the career game, not just the craft.
I’m just starting out. Will I feel behind?
Only if you don’t join. Seriously — EBS is the program we wish we had at the start. If you’re new but serious, you’ll learn faster than 99% of people fumbling in the dark for years. We break it down so you can actually apply it — no gatekeeping.
Do I get access to Kaia?
YES. This is the only way to work with Kaia outside of her $25K/day consulting. She teaches live weekly for 9 months of the year and personally coaches students in the Spotlight Sessions. You’ll also see her regularly in the community. This is not a ghost-teacher situation.
What if I can’t make it live?
Totally fine! All live classes (except mixers) are recorded and added to the Vault within 48 hours. Many students watch on replay and still thrive. You get unlimited access to replays while you’re enrolled.
How many hours a week do I need?
About 2–3 hours/week. That includes one live session, one optional mixer or pod session, and your personal project time. You can binge it, drip it, or pace it — but you’ll always know what to focus on next.
How is this different from film school?
Film school teaches you how to make stuff. EBS teaches you how to sell it, pitch it, fund it, and build a career out of it. Most MFA programs avoid the business stuff entirely. We built EBS to fix that.
Is this U.S. only?
Nope! EBS is proudly global. We’ve had students from the U.K., Canada, the EU, Africa, Australia, and more. Live sessions are held at 10am PT to be timezone-friendly, and our community mixers rotate so everyone gets face time.
What if I have a disability or chronic condition?
We’ve got you. All sessions include closed captioning, replays, and downloadable materials. The program is designed with flexibility in mind — and we truly care about your wellbeing. If you need something specific, just reach out. We’ll do our best to make it work.
What if it’s not a fit?
No hard feelings. If you sign up and realize it’s not what you expected, you have 14 days to request a refund. We believe in what we offer — and we only want students who feel aligned and excited.
Can I join later?
Technically, yes. But the price is rising to $299/month in 2026 — and you’ll miss the current cohort’s momentum. If you’re serious, now is the best time.

100% SATISFACTION GUARANTEED
We’re confident in what we teach because it works. That’s why we offer a commitment-based guarantee — not a “dabble and bail” policy.
Because you get immediate access to our full course library, community, and materials upon enrollment, we do not offer “change of mind” refunds.
However, if you’re an action-taker, and you complete the core program and don’t feel you’ve gained clarity, traction, or value:
We’ve got your back.
If you request a refund within the first 30 days of your enrollment, you’re eligible — provided you’ve completed all of the following:
✅ Watched all 9 core training modules
✅ Attended all live classes from your first month
✅ Participated in the community and pods
✅ Implemented the strategies taught (e.g. revised pitch, bio, website, or outreach materials)
If you’ve genuinely done the work and still feel you didn’t grow, we’ll process your refund — no hard feelings.
If you’ve done the above work and you’re still not seeing value, we’ll give you a full refund. That’s how confident we are in what you’ll walk away with.
⚠️ Please do not enroll if you plan to travel, ghost, or coast through the program.
This experience is for serious creatives who want to go pro — not spectators.
🌍 Life happens?
If you face a true emergency (e.g. force majeure, life-threatening illness), you won’t lose what you’ve invested on a pro-rated basis for your time with us — but we don’t offer open-ended refunds due to personal planning conflicts.
**
If you don’t take action on your career, what we know for sure is you’ll be stuck where you are right now in one year. Is that where you want to be? Or will you say “yes” to greenlighting yourself and join the wolfpack in EBS?
